Data privacy notice
We take the protection of your personal data and hence your privacy very seriously. We would like to take a moment here to tell you what it means for you if you make use of our customised services and how we protect your data. We will of course comply with all statutory provisions relating to data protection in order to ensure that your privacy is always protected to the highest possible degree.
Personal data
Personal data is information about your identity. It includes details such as your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. You do not need to disclose personal data in order to use our website. However, in certain cases we will need your name and address, along with other details, so we can provide the required services.
The same applies if we are to send you information materials and ordered goods or answer specific questions, for example. We will inform you if we require such information. Beyond that, we only save and process data that you make available to us voluntarily or automatically. If we do request any further information from you, this is voluntary. We only process personal data to provide the requested service and to protect our legitimate business interests.
Purpose of personal data
We use the personal data you provide us with to answer your queries, process your orders or give you access to particular information or offers. We will never sell your personal data to third parties, nor market it in any other way.
Specific use
We will only collect, process and use the personal data you provide online for the specific purposes we have told you about. We will not pass your personal data on to third parties without your consent. We will only ever collect personal data and transfer it to government institutions and authorities entitled to obtain such information in compliance with the relevant laws and insofar as we are obliged to do so by a court order. Our employees and the service providers we work with are bound by us to maintain confidentiality and adhere to the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act.
Non-personal data that is collected automatically
For organisational and technical reasons, the following data is stored when using our website: the names of the pages accessed, the browser and the operating system used, the date and time a page was accessed, the search engines used, the names of any files downloaded and your IP address. We analyse this technical data anonymously and solely for statistical purposes to enable us to continuously improve our website and make our online services even more attractive. This anonymous data is stored separately to personal information in secure systems and cannot be linked back to any individual. So, your personal data and your privacy are protected at all times.
Children
Individuals under 16 years of age should not provide us with any personal data without the consent of their parent or guardian. We do not request any personal data from children or young people, nor do we collect it or pass it on to third parties.

General information on the use of cookies
Cookies enable us to offer services that are more user-friendly to the people visiting our website. This is not possible without using cookies. We optimise the information and offers we provide based on the data collected by cookies. We use cookies to fill the shopping basket and to ensure that goods placed in there are still shown if the website is used again at a later date or time. Cookies make it possible to log in to the shop automatically. You can configure your browser to block our site from using any cookies. You can also use your browser to delete cookies that have already been stored.
Without cookies, some parts of our website may have restricted or no functionality.
Information on specific cookies
We use various cookies on our website so that we can analyse how the site is used and promote our products in a targeted manner. In doing so, we employ technologies from a number of providers (e.g. Google, Yahoo, Trusted Shops, Pulse Point, SPOTX, VE Interactive).
Google cookies
Google Analytics uses various cookies, which may change over time. So we will just give an overview of how Google Analytics is used here.
This website uses Google Analytics from Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA).
Google Analytics enables data, sessions and interactions carried out over multiple devices to be assigned to a pseudonymous user ID, allowing user activity to be analysed across devices.
These cookies, which are text files stored on your computer, help to produce an analysis of how this website is used. We make use of the “IP anonymisation” function. The data is processed in an EU member state or another country that is a signatory to the EEA Agreement, within the EEA. In exceptional circumstances, your complete IP address may be transmitted to a server in the USA and truncated there. Google will not combine the IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics with other data. Google analyses the transmitted data on our behalf and creates reports on website activity and usage. In addition, Google provides services associated with website and internet usage. In such cases, it is again in our legitimate interests to process the data. The legal basis that applies here is Section 15 Para. of the German Telemedia Act and Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The data collected by cookies in this way will be deleted after 14 months; this process takes place automatically once per month.
You can configure how cookies are managed via a setting in your browser software.
You can stop Google from processing your data via the opt-out cookie ( https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en ) by downloading and installing the browser add-on. If you want to access the opt-out across multiple devices, you will need to install this add-on on all of them.
Hotjar
This website uses Hotjar, a web analytics tool from Hotjar Ltd, Level 2, St Julians Business Centre in 3, Elia Zammit Street, St Julians, Malta. Hotjar tests how user-friendly particular pages are, collecting anonymous measurement data on user behaviour in the process. We have no way of matching this anonymous measurement data to you as an individual (by linking it to your IP address or by any other method). Cookies are also used to obtain meaningful test results. This means that the programme uses the function that is provided by your browser for the purpose of temporarily storing information and accessing it later (see here for more details: https://docs.hotjar.com/docs/hotjar-cookies ). You can delete the cookies from your browser at any time. What’s more, you can also cancel your participation in the tests altogether via this link: https://www.hotjar.com/opt-out . You will find more information on data protection here: https://www.hotjar.com/privacy .
YouTube
Our website contains plugins from YouTube, a company owned by Google Inc. and headquartered in San Bruno, California, USA. The YouTube button bears a logo of the same name. If you visit a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser will connect to the YouTube servers directly. This will tell the YouTube server which specific page of our website you have visited. If you are logged in to your personal YouTube account when you visit our site, you are allowing YouTube to directly link your surfing habits to your personal account. If you want to prevent such data being transmitted, please log out of your YouTube account before visiting our website.
For information on why and which data is collected, plus how Pinterest processes and uses that data, as well as details of your rights in this regard and the settings you can make to protect your privacy, please refer to the YouTube Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en&gl=en .
Facebook
Our website uses, with your consent, the user action pixel from Facebook, Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”) for conversion tracking purposes. This tracks the behaviour of site visitors after they have been taken to a provider’s website by clicking on a Facebook ad. It enables the effectiveness of Facebook ads to be analysed for statistical and market research purposes, and future advertising tactics to be optimised. The data collected is anonymous to us as the website operator; we cannot infer a user’s identity from it. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so it can be linked to the user’s specific profile and Facebook is able to use the data for its own advertising purposes, according to Facebook’s Data Policy. This allows Facebook to show ads on pages within Facebook and outside it too. As the website operator, we cannot affect this type of data usage. In addition, a cookie may be stored on your computer for this purpose. You will find more information on how to protect your privacy in Facebook’s Data Policy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/ .
You can also disable the Custom Audiences remarketing function in the ad settings at
https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen .
You must have a Facebook account to do this; if you do not have one, you can disable Facebook ads that are based on your usage on the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance website:
Instagram functions, provided by Instagram Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA, are integrated in our website. If you are logged in to your Instagram account, you can link the content on our pages to your Instagram profile by clicking the Instagram button. This allows Instagram to match your visit to our website with your user account. Please note that we as the website provider do not receive any information about the content of the transmitted data or how it is used by Instagram.
You will find more information on this in Instagram’s Privacy Policy: http://instagram.com/about/legal/privacy/ .
